P&O Cruises is the best-known brand of a global company leader in the cruise industry called Carnival UK. Please note that like with most of the cruise lines operating in the industry, to work for any of the five brands of the Carnival UK (Princess Cruises, Cunard Line, P&O Cruises, Ocean Village, and P&O Cruises Australia), you are expected to have no legal restrictions on employment in the UK.
The five-ship fleet of the P&O Cruises consists of Aurora, Oriana, Arcadia, Artemis and Oceana. Each of the cruise ships run by the Carnival UK is staffed by around 15 000 men and women. There are some limitations and requirements to be granted a Freestyle Cruise job onboard a NCL America cruise liner (see How To Get A Job section). There are also differences between those three brands in terms of employment policy, which the cruise line authorities will explain to you at the time of hire. The company applies a customer service concept called STYLE - Service Teamwork and Yes Lead to Excellence. Like with all the major cruise lines, if your job performance is viewed as satisfactory, you will be leaving one season headed home with an employment contract for another one safe in your pocket.
