Following are profiles of major employers in cruise line industry:

Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line is a popular choice of families with children vacationers. However, their cruises offer Disney-style entertainment for all ages in form of adventurous activities onshore and onboard.

Costa Cruise Line

Costa Cruise Line specializes on wedding packages. It offers wedding ceremonies as well as honeymoons aboard any of their eleven cruise ships which are all designed in Italian style, promising a highly romantic experience for the couples and their wedding guests, assisted by professional cruise ship staff. As an alternative, wedding ceremonies are also possible to take place ashore, in many Caribbean ports of call.

P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises is the best-known brand of a global company leader in the cruise industry called Carnival UK. Please note that like with most of the cruise lines operating in the industry, to work for any of the five brands of the Carnival UK (Princess Cruises, Cunard Line, P&O Cruises, Ocean Village, and P&O Cruises Australia), you are expected to have no legal restrictions on employment in the UK.

The five-ship fleet of the P&O Cruises consists of Aurora, Oriana, Arcadia, Artemis and Oceana. Each of the cruise ships run by the Carnival UK is staffed by around 15 000 men and women. The P&O Cruises liners offer voyages all around the world, sailing primarily to the Mediterranean, the Baltic, the Norwegian Fjords, the Caribbean and the Atlantic Islands.

Celebrity Cruises

Royal Caribbean International

Royal Caribbean International also belongs to the industry leaders. With corporate offices and customer service call centres located in Miami, Florida, and Information Technology Division situated not far, in Miramar, Florida, it offers land-based employment chances as well as cruise job opportunities onboard their world-class luxury ship for dynamic people eager to take up cruise job challenge and commitment. Like with most of the major cruise line companies, expect your employment with the Royal Caribbean to be a subject to drug testing, reference and criminal background checks.

Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line watches over operations onboard of the fleet of more than fourteen cruise ships within its brands NCL, NCL America and Orient Lines. There are some limitations and requirements to be granted a Freestyle Cruise job onboard a NCL America cruise liner (see How To Get A Job section). There are also differences between those three brands in terms of employment policy, which the cruise line authorities will explain to you at the time of hire. The company applies a customer service concept called STYLE - Service Teamwork and Yes Lead to Excellence. Like with all the major cruise lines, if your job performance is viewed as satisfactory, you will be leaving one season headed home with an employment contract for another one safe in your pocket.
